29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about September 11, 2012 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations approximately eight (8) feet eight (8) inches above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. b. On or about September 11, 2012 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations approximately twelve (12) feet nine (9) inches above the ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards. THE CIRAULO & SONS CONSTRUCTION LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 110143, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 17, 2012 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1138 S. MAPLE AVENUE, OAK PARK, IL 60304.
