This provision is applicable to construction employment by 29 CFR 1926.59.

29 CFR 1926.150(c)(1)(viii): Portable fire extinguishers were not inspected periodically and maintained in accordance with maintenance and use of portable fire extinguishers, N.F.P.A. No. 10A-1970 1st Floor - Mess Hall: On September 12, 2012,and at times prior thereto, the fire extinguishers used in the immediate area were not inspected monthly and not properly maintained at the worksite. There was no tag and corrosion was visible at the base of the extinguisher positioned in standing water near the sink.
