29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(1):  The employer did not provide change rooms, in conformance with the Sanitation standard, 29 CFR 1910.141, for employees who were required to change their clothes to use protective clothing and equipment for chromium (VI) exposures:    Aerospace/Defense Coatings of Georgia, Inc., - on or about October 17, 2012, clothing of employees performing spraying operation was contaminated with hexavalent chromium.  The levels of hexavalent chromium ranged from 0.1615 to 0.5093 micrograms.    a)  Two paint booths in Building 2.  Cr(VI) on one employee measured at 0.1615 and 0.1293 micrograms, and on another at 0.3121 and 0.5093 micrograms.    b)  Two paint booths in Building 3 (typically one in operation).  Samples collected from one employee, analysis determined Cr(VI) to be at 0.3206 and 0.2951 micrograms.  Additional wipe sample collected from steering wheel and interior door handle of employee's car.  Cr(VI) found at 0.1412 micrograms.

29 CFR 1910.1026(c):  The employer did not ensure that employee exposure to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which was at or below the permissible exposure level (PEL) of 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average:    Aerospace/Defense Coatings of Georgia, Inc. - on or about 10/17/12, employer did not take feasible efforts to reduce employee exposure to Cr(VI) below the PEL of 5 micrograms per cubic meter (0.005 mg per cubic meter), when measured as an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA).  Employee exposure was measured between 6.6 and 41 micrograms per cubic meter as an 8-hour TWA.    a)  Two paint booths in Building 2.  An employee was monitored for 456 minutes, with 24 minutes counted as zero exposure to complete 480 minutes (8 hours).  This employee's exposure was determined to be 24 micrograms per cubic meter (8-hour TWA).      b) An employee was monitored for 363 minutes with 117 minutes counted as zero exposure for a total of 480 minutes.  This employee's exposure was determined to be 41 micrograms per cubic meter (8-hour TWA).    c)  Two paint booths in Building 3 (typically one in operation).  An employee was monitored for occupational exposure to Cr(VI), for 172 minutes with 308 minutes included as zero exposure for a total of 480 minutes.  The employee's exposure was determined to be 6.6 micrograms per cubic meter (8-hour TWA).                                               REPEAT VIOLATION    Section 17(a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and 29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(4)(i).    Aerospace/Defense Coatings of Georgia, Inc. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OSHA STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION #314202789 CITATION #2 ITEM #2a, ISSUED ON 11/17/2010, WITH RESPECT TO THE WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 7700 NE INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD, MACON, GA 31216.  THIS CITATION BECAME A FINAL ORDER ON 12/9/10.
