29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations: On or about October 22, 2012, Young's Custom Ag Services, Inc., owned and operated a spray-finishing area at its facility in Spring Valley, Illinois. Lighting fixtures and a floor fan were located inside the spray area. This equipment was not explosion-proof or approved for Class I, group D locations and it not conform to Subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations. CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.

29 CFR 1910.107(m)(1): Spraying operations involving the use of organic peroxides and other dual component coatings were not conducted in approved sprinklered spray booths meeting the requirements of this section: On or about October 22, 2012, the spraying operation at Young's Custom Ag Services, Inc., in Spring Valley, Illinois, required the use of Sherwin-Williams, Polane SP Polyurethane Enamel System. This coating is a two-component exterior grade coating. The spraying of this coating was not conducted in an approved sprinklered spray booth meeting the requirements of this section. CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
