29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer shall administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program, as described in paragraphs (c) through (o) of this section, whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels measured on the A scale (slow response) or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent. For purposes of the hearing conservation program, employee noise exposures shall be computed in accordance with appendix A and Table G-16a, and without regard to any attenuation provided by the use of personal protective equipment. a) The miller working in the flour mill was exposed to a recorded personal noise dosimeter sound level of 92 decibels during the 430 minute sampling period on 11/7/12. b) The bagger working in the oat plant was exposed to a recorded personal noise dosimeter sound level of 89 decibels during the 480 minute sampling period on 11/7/12. c) An employee working in the flour mill was exposed to a recorded personal noise dosimeter sound level of 86 decibels during the 445 minute sampling period on 11/7/12. d) An employee working in the oat plant was exposed to a recorded personal noise dosimeter sound level of 86 decibels during the 485 minute sampling period on 11/7/12.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998] Employees were exposed to corrosive burns to the eyes while servicing the electric forklift batteries in that an adequate emergency eyewash was not available at the worksite.
