29 CFR 1926.150(c)(1)(vi): A fire extinguisher, rated not less than 10B, shall be provided within 50 feet of wherever more than 5 gallons of flammable or combustible liquids or 5 pounds of flammable gas are being used on the jobsite. This requirement does not apply to the integral fuel tanks of motor vehicles. Jobsite: Contractor was storing Aceteylene bottles in exposed cage along with storing (4) four 5-gallon containers of gas with no fully charged fire extinguishers within 50 feet.

29 CFR 1926.350(a)(10): Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. Jobsite: Oxygen/Aceteylene bottles were stored on lower level of the project (the pit) next to (4) four 5-gallon containers of gasoline used to power the portable generators.

29 CFR 1926.701(b): Reinforcing steel. All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and into which employees could fall, shall be guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement. Jobsite: Base footings / columns had exposed rebar exposing employees to slips trips falls and punctures from not putting protective covers over (5) five different locations on base level. S & F Concrete was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.701(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313554008, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/24/09, with respect to a workplace located at 134 Boston Post Road Weston, Ma.
