29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about December 18, 2012, an employee was observed working at the edge of a roof with an unprotected side or edge. The employee was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems and was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 21 1/2-feet to the ground. RIO BRAVO CONSTRUCTION WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501 (B)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 313496259, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JANUARY 27, 2011, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 6800 GATEWAY EAST,BLDG. #7, EL PASO, TX 79915.
