29 CFR 1926.1412(d)(1): A competent person did not begin a visual inspection prior to each shift the equipment is used. The inspection must consist of observation for apparent deficiencies. At a minimum the inspection must include all of the following in paragraphs (d)(1)(i) through (xii) of this section: A). On or about 01/09/13, at 46-10 Center Blvd. Long Island City, NY A competent person did not inspect a Monitowoc 4100 tower crane prior to using the equipment. No crane pre-operational checklist was provided by the operator. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
