Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment that was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by/crushing hazards associated with a modified and defective  hydraulic automotive lift:    a) For the Auto Air Muffler and Brake City establishment at 815 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, FL 33604, as observed on or about 01/16/2013, employees were exposed to struck-by/crushing hazards while working underneath pneumatic/hydraulic vehicle lifts. Safety stops had been bypassed, such that the two indoor lifts were supported only by hydraulics and could crush employees working underneath in event of a hydraulic failure.

29 CFR 1910.151(c):  Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:    a) For the Auto Air Muffler and Brake City establishment at 815 E. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, FL 33604, as observed on or about 10/16/2013, an eyewash station was not available for employees who were potentially exposed to battery acid.
