OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the potential hazard of a natural gas explosion and fire:      (a) On or about February 5, 2013, in the powder coating room, an employee detected a natural gas leak while changing a light bulb located at the ceiling in close proximity to the natural gas pipe line that serviced the production oven. The connecting joint of the natural gas line had deteriorated. Employees exposed to the potential hazard of a natural gas explosion and fire, continued working in the powder room and were not evacuated from the building.
