OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: Well site: On or about Feburary 13, 2013, and times prior to, employees were operating an oil/gas well service rig in support of the installation of a down hole electric pump in an oil well. One employee worked on the rig derrick tubing board where the secondary means of emergency egress, the Geronimo system, had not been completely installed and was not useable. This exposed the employee to the hazards of fire or an overturing rig.
