29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Officemate International Edison, NJ site - Plastic Department: a) The employer did not provide a continuing, effective Hearing Conservation Program for employees exposed to noise levels above 85 dBA. Employees working in and/or around the Fastener Department were exposed to continuous noise levels of 90.0 dBA and 87.0 dBA for an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA), which is equivalent to doses of 100.2% and 66.43%. Sampling time was 373 minutes and 375 minutes respectively. Zero exposures were assumed for all unsampled time periods. Condition noted on or about 2/22/2013.
