29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent:    a) Employee(s) working within the northeast part of the warehouse at 110 Newfield Avenue in Edison NJ were exposed to fire hazard due to stored palletized goods concealing view of the sign above the NE corner emergency exit door from the east aisle. A directional sign indicating the direction of egress route travel to the nearest emergency exit door was lacking.     Condition(s) were noted on or about 8/16/2018.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:      a) Warehouse employee(s) at 110 Newfield Avenue in Edison NJ charged warehouse equipment such as Raymond industrial truck(s) using a damaged battery charger that was duct-taped to a hand-truck and plugged into an outlet along the south interior wall. The top of the unit's housing was crushed in and cable(s) had visible external damage to insulation and/or strain relief at connections, such as to leave conductors exposed,  hence exposing employees to electrical shock hazard.     Condition(s) were noted on or about 8/16/2018.    Officemate International Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1221270, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/23/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 90 Newfield Avenue in Edison NJ.
