29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. a. On or about March 26, 2013 at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing brick laying operations from a tubular welded frame scaffold, approximately fourteen (14) feet two (2) inches above the ground, was exposed to injuries from falls due to lack of guardrails. b. On or about March 26, 2013 at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing brick laying operations from a tubular welded frame scaffold lookout bracket, approximately fourteen (14) feet two (2) inches above the ground, was exposed to injuries from falls due to lack of side rails. PAUL BUILDING IMPROVEMENT INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.451(g)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 108483, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1/b AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON FEBRUARY 14, 2012 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 23180 VOLBRECHT ROAD, CRETE IL, 60417. PAUL BUILDING IMPROVEMENT INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 1926.451(g)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 802322, CITATION NUMBER 2, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON FEBRUARY 6, 2013 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 17659 TORRENCE AVE., LANSING IL, 60438.
