29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: On or about March 28, 2013, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee engaged in steel erection operations was exposed to a fall of approximately thirty four (34) feet created by the presence of unprotected sides and edges. The Imperial Construction Associates, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312598766, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 16, 2009,with respect to a workplace located at 1 University Place, Bourbonnais, IL 60917.
