29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of coal tar pitch volatiles listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) concentration of 0.200 mg/m3. : (Construction Reference: 1926.1102) On or about April 11th, 2013, at the above address, an employee was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) concentration of 0.315 mg/m3 of coal tar pitch volatiles during roofing activities. These exposures exceeded the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 0.2 mg/m3 for coal tar pitch volatiles.
