29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Store front. Employees were exposed to fall hazards while installing a metal awning, which had unprotected edges that were 10-feet above a concrete walk. The employees were not wearing personal fall arrest systems. Awnex, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316045475, citation number 001, item number 001, issued on March 09, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2100 Central Park, Bedford, Texas.
