Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to ensure that "Discharges of oil or gas to the atmosphere should be to a safe area, preferably on the downwind side of the well and a minimum of 100 ft (30.5 m) from the wellhead, open flame, or other sources of ignition.", as described in Section 12 of the American Petroleum Institute - Recommended Practice 54, Recommended Practice for Occupational Safety for Oil and Gas Well Drilling and Servicing Operations.

Abatement Note:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to ensure that each section of a high-pressure rigid line is secured using appropriate means to prevent movement should the line fail as described in Section 9 of the American Petroleum Institute - Recommended Practice 54, Recommended Practice for Occupational Safety for Oil and Gas Well Drilling and Servicing Operations.
