29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:  On May 31, 2013 and June 3, 2013, an employee was exposed to struck by hazards in the eyes when using a pneumatic nail gun because the employee wore glasses that did not meet the requirements of Z 87.1-1968. The employer did not provide employee safety training in order to provide the employees with the knowledge to recognize construction safety hazards, as well as the procedures to follow in order to minimize or eliminate those safety hazards.
