29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii):   Except as provided in paragraphs (f)(7) and (f)(8) of this section, the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provided at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals, and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemicals:  (a) A plastic two-gallon garden sprayer (containing caustic coil cleaner) found in a storage cabinet in the HVAC Shop in Facilities Maintenance was not provided with an identity or hazard warning label.   (b) A gallon container of Acrylic Latex High Gloss Enamel Paint found in the Paint Shop in Facilities Maintenance was not provided with an appropriate hazard warning label.  (c) Two 65-gallon bulk containers of hydraulic fluid located on a dispensing rack in the Garage were not provided with hazard warning labels.  (d) Five 65-gallon bulk containers of motor oil located on a dispensing rack in the Garage were not provided wtih hazard warning labels.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(1): Contaminated sharps were not discarded immediately or as soon as feasible in containers that are described in sections (i) through (iv) of this section:  (a)  Correctional officers assigned to the Special Housing Unit are collecting used disposable razors from inmates and placing them into plastic bags for disposal into regular trash dumpster(s) at the facility.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED  NOTICE CITATION #2, ITEM #1, 29 CFR 1910.1030(D)(4)(III)(A)(1) AS REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1960.8(B): THE EMPLOYER FAILED TO ENSURE THAT USED DISPOSABLE RAZORS COLLECTED FROM SPECIAL HOUSING UNIT INMATES WERE DISCARDED INTO SHARPS CONTAINERS. THE EMPLOYER WAS CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THE SAME STANDARD ON 5/6/2011, INSPECTION #312926017, FINAL ORDER/SETTLEMENT DATE 5/31/13, AND WAS ABATED BY TRAINING PERSONNEL AND DEVELOPING A MEMO REGARDING PROPER DISPOSAL OF USED RAZORS.
