29 CFR 1926.453(a)(2): Field modification of the aerial lift was not certified in writing by the manufacturer or by any other equivalent entity, such as a nationally recognized testing laboratory, to be in conformity with all applicable provisions of ANSI A92.2-1969, and this section, and to be at least as safe as the equipment was before modification:    a) The surface area of a Sky-Jack 7127 lift platform was increased where a plastic enclosure was installed on/around the rails of the lift when provided for employee use at the site.    b) The surface area of a JLG 600S lift platform was increased where a plastic enclosure was installed on/around the rails of the lift when provided for employee use at the site.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
