29 CFR 1910.254(d)(9)(iii): Cables with damaged insulation or exposed bare conductors were not replace: The employer failed to protect employees from potential electrical hazards associated with employees operating arc welding equipment with a damaged lead. This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 3445 Stolley Park Dr. Grand Island, NE 68803; where the employer has employees using a Miller arc welder model #450 with a damaged lead to weld the sub framing of the combines the company manufacturers. CNH America, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.254(d)(9)(iii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number OIS #784021, citation number 1, item number 6 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/4/13, with respect to a workplace located at 3445 Stolley Park Drive, Grand Island, NE 68803.
