29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. U.S. Coast Guard Station, Tsunami Recreation, Building 597; on or about 22 July 2013 and times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that a 75 foot orange extension cord was connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided. This condition exposed employees to an electrical shock and electrical burn hazards.
