29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system:     a) On or about 8/15/2013, Existing roof:  Employees performing roofing work on a roof with a minimum width of 72 feet were not utilizing a warning line system or physical fall protection.              b) On or about 8/15/2013, New roof:  Employees walking on a roof, with a minimum width of over 200 feet, outside of a warning line system were not protected by the use of a warning line system or a physical fall protection system.            Abatement documentation is required for this item.     The Tower Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314101916, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/15/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 46 West Main Street, Friendship, NY.     The Tower Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSAH inspection number 314530247, citation 2, item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/29/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 46 West Main Street, Friendship, NY.
