29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). The employer had not complied with the provisions of 29 CFR 1926.652(b)(1)(i): On or about August 13, 2013 employees working in an excavation were not protected from cave-ins. The A-1 Excavating Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652 (a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection 309843597, citation number 1, item number 6-9 and was affirmed as a final order on January 13, 2010, with respect to workplace located at Alderson Street and Weston, Wausau, WI 54401. The A-1 Excavating Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652 (a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection 307047191, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 13, 2010, with respect to workplace located at 700 Block Main Street, Rice Lake, WI 54868.
