29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 454 Taylor Road, Montgomery, AL on or about 27 August, 2013 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards of 18' in that employees were allowed to work on the second level of a building next to an unprotected edge without fall protection. Although not fully planked scaffolding was photographed the employee was in the process of erecting scaffold.
