29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.  a)  Studer-Obringer Inc. on or about October 29, 2013, at the address of 1000 Lawrence St. (Camp Perry Building 5042) Port Clinton, OH: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from a 16 ft. fall to the ground below while performing work covered under the scope of steel erection. No acceptable form of fall protection was in place while workers were installing metal caps and expansion joints near the east edge of the structure's roof deck.
