29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: Location: 801 Stone Bluff Court, Chesterfield, MO Employees were using power tools without donning the necessary safety glasses at the job site: a) A worker was using a Bosch circular saw to cut soffit and TS24 Smooth Trim Sheet; b) A worker was using a pneumatic staple gun to install soffit.

29 CFR 1926.300(b)(4)(ii): The point of operation of machine(s) whose operation exposed an employee to injury was not guarded: Location: 801 Stone Bluff Court, Chesterfield, MO 63005 At the job site, the self-adjusting guard on the Bosch circular saw was affixed in the retracted position by a screw. The circular saw was used to cut soffit which exposed the operator to an amputation hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: Location: 801 Stone Bluff Court, Chesterfield, MO 63005 At the job site, a worker was exposed to a fall hazard as he was not protected by any type of fall protection system as he installed soffit while working from the approximate 6:12 pitch residential roof. The eave to ground height measured approximately 10 feet, 11 inches at the south side. Franklin County Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 460513, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/17/2012 with respect to a workplace located at North Jefferson, Saint James, MO 65559. Franklin County Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315785600, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/03/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 2517 Mary Ave., St. Louis, MO 63144.
