Portable electric lamps, if used during cleaning or repairing operations, shall be of the type approved for hazardous Class I locations.  a)  At the worksite, at and near the spray booth, on or about 11/22/13:  An portable electric lamp not rated for this purpose was used inside the spray booth.

American Made Tires was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 896494 citation number 1, item number 14a, and was affirmed as a final order on August 15, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1717 Grand Central Avenue, Elmira Heights, NY.  Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
