29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms when they were not specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use: a) Throughout job site, and at times prior to, on or about December 11, 2013, an employee was elevated and working from an unapproved work platform that was supported by a GEHL Telescopic forklift, Model RS 8-42. The forklift manufacturer does not allow this forklift to be used to elevate personnel or be fitted with any form of personnel platform, which exposed employees to fall hazards up to 10 feet. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
