29 CFR 1910.136(a): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole, and where such employee's feet are exposed to electrical hazards: On or about 01/22/2014, at the stockroom and ODL rooms, Pxtra/Class Six, AAFES Fort Buchanan Store, PR, employees engaged in warehouse related operations had been working without safety shoes so as to protect them from injury. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation required by item as 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.151(b): In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available: a) On or about 01/22/2014, at the stockroom and ODL rooms, Pxtra/Class Six, AAFES Fort Buchanan Store, PR, an adequate and complete first aid kit was not available in the immediate area when employees are present performing assigned operations. b) On or about 01/22/2014, Pxtra/Class Six, AAFES Fort Buchanan Store, PR, a designated person, i.e., work shift manager, trained in first aid was not available during all work shifts. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation required by item as 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
