29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    On or about March 6, 2014 and times prior thereto, employees of Ramirez Construction were constructing an office building for Massey Construction, LLC. at or near 7001 Highway 300 in Roland, Arkansas.  An employee was observed walking and working on the top plate of the frame, exposing the employee to fall hazards of 9 feet to the ground level below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   On or about March 6, 2014 and times prior thereto, employees of Ramirez Construction were constructing an office building for Massey Construction, LLC at or near 7001 Highway 300 in Roland, Arkansas.  The employees were routinely exposed to fall hazards when framing and the employer had not provided each employee with training on fall hazards.
