29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers shall be quipped with one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: a. On or about March 7, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, employees accessing/egressing the second floor level via the starway were exposed to falls of approximately 10 feet due to the lack of a stairrail system.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a. On or about March 7, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee working from the 8/12 pitched roof installing the plywood sheeting was exposed to falls of approximately 11 feet due to the lack of fall protection. Springbuck Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 280098, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 13, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Sterling Ridge, Lot #3, Orland Park, IL.
