Tamarac Ct., Wichita KS:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities from a 8:12 pitch roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the eave of the residence to the ground below in that fall protection was not utilized.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladders length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  At the jobsite located at 12015 E. Tamarac Ct., Wichita KS:  Employees engaged in residential roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet from the eave of the residence to the ground below in that the ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least 3 feet above the eave and was not secured to the residence.
