29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): "Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) On or about March 18, 2014, at the jobsite located 16226 Wausau Avenue, South Holland, IL. - employees performing roofing activities on a flat roof were exposed to falls hazards of approximately eleven (11) feet due to the presence of unprotected sides and edges. The Total Roofing & Construction Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312599343 citation number 1 item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 21, 2010 with respect to a workplace located at 150 E. 170th Street, Fire Station #2, South Holland, IL. 60473.
