In the steel shop, where bridge cranes were used for moving trailer parts, trailers, and jigs, contact was made when one crane was run into another which could and did result in an employee being struck by a load supported by a crane.  One feasible  and acceptable abatement method, which was selected by the employer, is to install anti-collision sensors.
