29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): On every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official were not marked on plates of approved design and securely affixed in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. (a) Raw Aluminum Ingot Mezzanine - The employer stores pallets of raw aluminum on a mezzanine adjacent to the melt /pour department. Each pallet can weigh up to 2200 pounds, up to 30 pallets were stored on the mezzanine. The floor load rating of the mezzanine was not posted, on or about April 4, 2014 (b) Supply Mezzanine - The employer uses the upper mezzanine above the office for general supply storage. This mezzanine is adjacent to the aluminum ingot mezzanine but is constructed of wood. The floor load rating of the mezzanine was not posted, on or about April 4, 2014 Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.
