29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16, feasible engineering controls were not utilized:    a) Die Cast/Tumbling Department: An employee working at the Tumbling machine was exposed to a continuous noise level at 303% of the 8-hour Time Weighted Average, Permissible Exposure Limit of 90 decibels. The equivalent dose of 303% is approximately 97.9 decibels. The sample was performed for 459 minutes during the morning shift on June 18, 2014. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of time. The employer did not implement effective engineering controls for an employee whose exposure to noise exceeded the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit of 90 dBA, thus exposing employees to potential hearing loss, on or about 6/18/14.
