29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation machine guards were not designed or constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. 1) Maintenance Department - Employees were using an Ellis drill press model number 9000 and serial number 90000086 that was not equipped with a guard, exposing employees to a serious laceration hazard from rotating bit and chuck. 2) Maintenance Department - Employees were using an OTMT milling machine model number 07045F6 and serial number 7783 that was not equipped with a guard, exposing employees to a serious laceration hazard from rotating bit and chuck.
