On or about May 8, 2014, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a tripping and fall hazard, from supplies and debris being scattered on the floor at the top of the stairs, as they entered the Parts Room from the stairway.

29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer did not provide portable fire extinguishers that were readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury: a) Northeast corner of the shop. On or about May 8, 2014, employees were exposed to, in case of an emergency, a fire hazard as access to the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by a 55-gallon capacity barrel, while performing mechanical work on vehicles in the shop. b) Center of west wall of the shop. On or about May 8, 2014, employees were exposed to, in case of a emergency, a fire hazard as access to the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by a stack of metal tool drawers and a large segment of metal grate, while performing mechanical work on vehicles in the shop. c) Southwest corner of the shop. On or about May 8, 2014, employees were exposed to, in case of an emergency, a fire hazard as access to the portable fire extinguisher was blocked by a 125-gallon capacity barrel, while performing mechanical work on vehicles in the shop.
