29 CFR 1926.55(a): Employee(s) were exposed to material(s) at concentrations above those specified in the Threshold Limit Values of Airborne Contaminants for 1970 of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists:  On or about 6/18/2014, at the above addressed jobsite, two employees engaged in grinding concrete window sills were overexposed to respirable silica dust at a concentration of 9.46 mg/m3 (equivalent to 94.58 mppcf) and  8.81 mg/m3 (equivalent to 88.05 mppcf) expressed as an 8-hour time weighted average of approximately 4.26 and  4.49 times the daily Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 2.22 mg/m3 (equivalent to 22.22 mppcf) and 1.96 mg/m3 (equivalent to 19.61 mppcf) based a on a 245 minute sampling period; exposure calculations included a zero-increment for the 235 minutes not sampled.
