29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees shall be provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. a. On or about August 13, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, employees conducting roofing operations with pneumatic nail guns were not provided with safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to stuck by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502: a. On or about August 13, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing roofing operations approximately nine (9) feet above the ground were not protected from falls, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. AGELESS AND COMFORT ROOFING INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 922345, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON AUGUST 28, 2013, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 212 GLADSTONE DR., GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL.
