OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. VAS building; on or about 21 October 2014 and times prior thereto; warehouse storage racks were not secured to the wall or floor. Storage racks did not have the maximum safe load limits posted. Storage racks had damaged cross braces. These conditions exposed employees to a struck by hazard.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. Paint booth; on or about 21 October 2014 and times prior thereto, an air nozzle used for cleaning purposes measured approximately 60 psi. The air nozzle was not equipped with a pressure deflector to reduce the pressure of air flow. This exposed employees to foreign objects being embedded to the body and eyes.

This condition exposed employees to delays in exiting the building and smoke inhalation, fire, and tripping hazards.
