29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 7601 River Road, East Side, 3rd level, North Bergen, NJ. Employees were exposed to 10 to 20 foot falls to the ground below as guardrails were absent and no other fall protection methods were in use. Violation observed on or about 11/21/2014. b) 7601 River Road, Top Level, North Bergen, NJ. Employees were exposed to approximate 40 foot falls from the top level of the form system to the ground below as guardrails were removed or placed that they did not adequately protect workers from falls. Violation observed on or about 11/21/2014. c) 7601 River Road, Third Level, South side, North Bergen, NJ. Employee was exposed to approximately 20 foot falls to the ground below as he was outside the wire rope guardrail system at the edge of the concrete floor. Violation observed on or about 11/21/2014.
