29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a)  160 North Ross Street, Auburn AL - (Second Floor); On or about January 29, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards in that employees were allowed to work on the second level of an apartment building balcony that had an unprotected edge exposing employees to a 10 foot 5 1/2 inch fall to the next level.    b)  160 North Ross Street, Auburn AL - (Third Floor); On or about January 29, 2015 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed his employees to fall hazards in that employees were allowed to work on the third level of an apartment building balcony that had an unprotected edge exposing employees to a 20 foot 11 inch fall to the next level.
