Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard, as observed on or about February 24, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.

Employees were exposed to contact with an electrical current hazard, as observed on or about February 24, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i)(B): For electric equipment operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized, the width of the working space in front of electrical equipment was less than the width of the equipment or 762 mm (30 inches), whichever was greater: a) STARSYS Department, 1101 North Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA - Employees used, inspected and maintained an energized electrical panel that had an access opening less than thirty-inches (<30") wide due to two (2) metal racking systems located on either side of the electrical panel. The limited access to the electrical panel exposed employees to the hazards associated with being unable to de-energize equipment in the event of an emergency, as observed on or about February 24, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous condition was corrected during the inspection.

The limited access to the electrical panel exposed employees to the hazards associated with being unable to de-energize equipment in the event of an emergency, as observed on or about February 24, 2015. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is not required for this violation. The hazardous condition was corrected during the inspection.
