29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floor(s) or platform(s) 4 feet (1.22 m) or more above the adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded by standard railings (or the equivalent as specified in 29 CFR 1910.23(e)(3)(i) through (v), on all open sides:    1) Melt Deck Area - Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet while walking on the deck between the furnaces to check for temperature and conduct maintenance without fall protection such as but not limited to guardrails, personal fall arrest system or safety net.     2) Pour Deck Area - An employee was working on the platform that was approximately 9 feet above the ground below conducting molten melt operations where the guardrail was installed at a height of approximately 30 inches and not at least 42 inches in height.  Employee was exposed to a fall hazard.       The Mando America Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 980495, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on December 18, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1136 Meriwether Park Drive, Hogansville, Georgia 30230.
