29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a) Third Floor North Side - Foreman was observed standing near the edge of the floor while lifting a floor joist, without using fall protection and exposed to an 8 ft., to an adjoining property roof, on or about 03/19/2015.    b) Second Floor - Employees were shaking out new floor joists to span an opening without using fall protection and exposed to a 19 ft., fall hazard, on or about 03/19/2015.    Steven Davis Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 951664, citation number 1, item number 4, and was affirmed as a final order on 02/25/14, with respect to a workplace located at 1900 Jackson Street NW, Washington DC.    Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
