(a) At the NPS Headquarters Hallway next to the Superintendent's office, the door leading to the storage room was not labeled or marked "NOT AN EXIT" or identified by a sign indicating its actual use.  (b) At the Main Admin Bldg. Budget Office, the door leading to the rest room was not labeled or marked "NOT AN EXIT" or identified by a sign indicating its actual use.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit":  (a) At the Main Admin Bldg. Budget Office, the exit door was not labeled or marked "EXIT".  The National Park Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313534745, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/14/2011, with respect to a workplace located at NPS-USVI National Park, 6310 Estate Nazareth, St. Thomas VI 00802.  The National Park Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313356040, citation number 2, item number 1B and was affirmed as a final order on 3/04/2011, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, Nez Perce Nhp, 39063 US hi-way 95, Lapwal, ID 83540.

29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries.  (a) At the NPS Headquarters break room, the portable fire extinguisher was left free standing and not mounted.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 309098267, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/07/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS Chelan Buckner Orchard, Stehekin, WA 98852.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 301511085, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/03/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, 3501 Old Nashville Hwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
