29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries.  (a) At the Cottonwood Maintenance Compound, Plumbing Shop, the portable fire extinguisher was left free standing and not mounted.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 309098267, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/07/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS Chelan Buckner Orchard, Stehekin, WA 98852.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 301511085, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/03/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, 3501 Old Nashville Hwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

(b) At the NPS, Cottonwood Maintenance Compound, Carpenter Shop, the portable fire extinguisher was not inspected monthly, the last inspection date was July 2014.  The National Park Services was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1901.157(e)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 301511085, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/03/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS 3501 Old Nashville Hi-Way, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

(a) At the Cottonwood Maintenance Compound Carpenter Shop, the Rockwell 10 inch table saw did not have a guard to protect employees from hazards created by point of operation.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 301511085, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/03/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, 3501 Old Nashville Hwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

(a) At the Cottonwood Maintenance Compound, Plumbing Shop, the portable Rockwell dust less belt sander's power cord outer insulating sheath was separated from the power plug.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 307506618, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/14/2010, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, Mile 237 Parks Highway, Denali Park, AK 99755.  The National Park Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 307506550, citation number 1, item number 3A and was affirmed as a final order on 2/11/2011, with respect to a workplace located at NPS, Kenai Fjords National Park, Seward, AK 99664.
